My house is the house of crows…much to my neighbours annoyance…
It started with putting out bird seed & suet for the sparrows, finches, wood peckers, flickers and the occasional cedar wax wing…fast forward to today there are 9 crows who regularly hang about the yard…with enough magpies to keep them honest.
The crows appeal to my sense of the gothic…yet if you take a moment to observe them; they are not the melancholic characters or ominous shades of your Victorian horror stories…but cheeky birds that bounce around getting into mischief…
